best eBay listing ever

Brief and to the point - I like it!

Leaves allot to the imagination doesn't it?

This guy also has a Fiat 850 and a BMW 2002 listed. I bought a new Fiat 850 Spider in Bamberg, Germany in 1969 for $1300, drove it there and back in East Tennessee until 1972 when I traded it in for a new Colorado Orange BMW 2002. Got $1600 trade-in for the Fiat.

:iagree: I wouldn''t waste my time looking any further than that listing..wouldn't ask questions, wouldn't bid!

Although I have regularly read of people who have purchased gems from descriptions like that because no one else looks. Including the Group 44 GT6 that Classic Motorsports is currently restoring. (if I remember correctly the year was wrong in the ad so everyone thought it was a fake)

I sent an email for some pics and description. I live in the area. Ya never know!

whitephrog,
your story of a Fiat, a Bmw and Bamberg Germany caught my attention.

We were stationed there from '75 to '79. My dad brought his '72 Fiat 124 Coupe over. Mom thought it was too small for a family with 3 kids. We got a German version of what I guess was similar to a BMW Bavaria. I remember Bamberg well, the Swim bad, The Dom, the castle on the hill with the bear and those great German carnivals!..

P.S. Eventually, dad retires from the service, picks up the Sprite in the early 80's, and some 25 plus years later, with the help of you fine people, I'm driving it throughout Northeast Georgia having one of the most fun-filled Falls in recent memory!
