Here's a topic I don't remember being discussed: What songs do you like to listen to while driving your LBC? One of my favorites and the one we use to 'christen' any new convertible in the family is "RagTop Day" by Jimmy Buffett

Morris Dances (in a Minor key?).
Park your Herald, angels sing.
Smoke gets in your eyes.

Life is a highway - Tom Cochrane
Radar love - Golden Earring
One of these days - Pink Floyd
London calling - The Clash
La Grange - ZZ Top
Whole lotta love - Led Zepppelin
Beautiful day and Elevation - U2
All along the watchtower - Jimi Hendrix
Born to run - Bruce Springsteen
Summertime blues - Eddie Cochran
Stay with me - The Faces

I'll stop there for now.

There was a post a while back about this, and some great music listed. One of my favorites then and now: "Jessica" by the Allman Brothers.

...And for those who attended VTR 2005 in Rockford,

"Rust in the Tin"
"Smoke From the Dashboard"
"(He's a Real) TR Man"
"Gearbox", and
"Losing My Transmission"
by the Spinal Tappets

Thunder Road
The Beep Beep Song (Little Nash Rambler)

How about "Hark! The Herald Axles swing",
while driving your Spitfire?

- doug

Little Red Corvette ... though, Corvettes stopped being "little" a long time ago, IMO.

I don't have much choice, my 8-track is stuck on Hugo Montenegro and I can only pick up a junky talk AM station.
Think I might get a new stereo this weekend.....
Maybe one that plays cassette?
Has FM?

The opening to Elvis' Las Vegas act with the "2001" overture!

Money for Nothing- Dire Straights
Low Rider- ?can't remember
She caught the Katy- The Blues Brothers
"B" Movie- The Blues Brothers
Radar Love- ? can't thik of that one either
House Rent Blues (aka One burbon, one scotch, one beer) George Thorougood and the Destroyers.
Get back- The Beatles
Lookin Out My Back Door- CCR
The Breeze- Lenyard Skynard
Uneasy Rider- Charlie Danials
Take The Money and Run- Steve Miller and the Silver Bullet Band
Pride and Joy- SRV and Double Trouble
To name a few off the top of my head

I've had quite a few LBC's and left the radio in only one of them, mainly due to laziness. I've never been much interested in a car where you could actually hear the radio over the wind noise & exhaust. Must be a generational thing.

To clarify I was speaking about songs to listen to while driving (for those times I'm not listening to the tailpipe)

Personally I find it will depend on what type of driving I'm doing as to what songs seem most appropriate - when I'm on the interstate songs like "Running on Empty" or "Hollywood Nights" fit the bill for me, when I'm working that twisty, hilly road I prefer "Cherry Bomb" or "Boat on the River" - just to name a few. Anybody else find they do the same thing?

Ohhh she was comming around the Mtn at 90 miles an hour.
When the chain on her bicyle broke.
They found her in the grass.
With a sproket in her pocket.
Tickeled to death by the spokes.

My kids and grandkids all chime in when I start with the Ohooo.

I just keep hearing the same song.

Whhaaaa, Whaaaaa, Whaaaaa, Whaaaa
