Bench Bleeding a New Master Cylinder

New tandem TRW master in a '65 Sprite already installed and piped. I've read nearly everything in this BCF and confused. Some say required, some say not. I need the truth. Using a Gunson EZ Bleeder and planning on following up with the old tried and true pushing the pedals.

I never have. (Tried it once and it just seemed messy and confusing) Since it is already installed I would just go for it in situ.

For what it is worth: I researched bench bleeding vs not to the extreme, decided against it. Two thorough bleeds left me with an impotent clutch and brakes. By chance found a video online of a chap bench bleeding a '59 MC- the amount of air he pushed out swayed me, pulled my new TRW MC and did it. I had been using the Gunson power bleeder, so I didn't have quite the air he had in the video. But, a big but- after first bleed I had a good clutch and brakes. So, slow learner learned a tough lesson. I'm on far side of 72 and bleeding the clutch is nigh impossible for my body nowadays. Gave in and installed an extension from Winner's Circle. Boy howdy is that the ticket!
I love this site.
