Who has the Bell stainless exhaust system. how is the quality, how does it sound (how loud) and where do you buy ?

It can be loud in my opinion, but then noise is always subjective to the listener(s). Definitely not as loud as a Monza or Ansa system, but louder than stock.

Before buying, try to find a local club event and someone will surely have a set installed. At the Triumph day in Brookline, MA this past weekend, several guys asked the car several spots away from me to start up so they could hear his Bell system. Then they asked to hear my stock system with headers.

Some liked his and some liked mine. All a matter of taste and hearing the exhaust on the same car as yours for yourself is always the best way to tell BEFORE buying.

Also, make sure that you find out how old the system is. They seem to get a bit louder with age.

If you are talking about the Stainless Steel system with twin pipes (one on each side) sold by Moss, I put it on my TR6 and I really like it. It is louder than the stock, but not so loud as to be intrusive. You can still play your radio at a normal level or carry on a conversation with your passenger without shouting any more than normally. If you like a deep sound then go for it. Good luck

What header do you have with the exhaust system?

For what it's worth, I have the dual Anza exhaust on my 6 and I like it. I'm using it with the stock header. It sounds n i c e!
By the way, welcome to the BCF!

My 56 TR3 had one muffler and was way too loud (how can that little engine make that much noise). I solved the problem with a motorcycle muffler baffle. If you have access to a joint that will come apart, you can bolt it in. At $8, it is an easy experiment. Works great! My son has the Moss, two pipe stainless set on his TR6, it sounds great, a little louder than stock.
Good luck,
