Here it goes...more idiotic questions from newbie.

I am about to have my exhaust replaced and will most likely will have them weld the connections. What things should I have done while the pipes are down and not in the way. I was planning on doing a minor rear suspension such as reaplcing the leafs, having the shocks rebuilt, changing the bumps, etc. Is it quite difficult to do these with the pipes there? A quick short list of things to do would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

It's a good time to check the condition of the heat shield material that goes between the muffler/down pipes and the drivers compartment. Also check the tightness/overall condition of the bolts that hold the seat rails in place. I'm not sure how much the exhaust 'gets in the way' for shocks/springs on the BJ8. On my BJ7 there was no problem replacing shocks/springs/bumpbox with the exhaust system installed. but that's a different set-up.
