Before I put in classifieds

That could happen as well. How ever I should think you would want to look and drive. Shucks, bring a big truck for the spares and I will pay for the fuel ie subtract from the price. bring cash.

In my opinion listing it on this Forum is kinda of a waste of time. People who use this Forum already have a car in most instances. listing on Craigslist is very time consuming and only usually reaches a small local Audience. I highly recommend E-Bay because you get a huge audience, even World wide if you wish. You could also list it on the BUGEYE PARTs Web Site, which has a pretty broad base. That is where I found 59 Diamond back in 2012. it is a free site so you have nothing to lose.

Diamond, I agree but you just gave me a place to list that I did not know about, Bugeye Parts. Thanks, that is what I am after, a bit of help getting the job done. Soon as I figure what to do about pics I will list it in a few spots that have been pointed out here.

Jack, I agree with Rick, as nice as your car is I think it should be on Bring A Trailor. Just a name for a site that usually sell's high end car's. You can list it on E-bay as well where it will get the most coverage.

BTW, You'll be missed!!

Kurt.

Would you be into shipping it Jack?

thanks for weighing in - was thinking of you from the minute Jack posted.

BTW, Jack, sorry to hear though I do understand - please however do not use the sale of Miss A to exit from the forum - we'd miss you!

you mean like pay real money to ship a car. Now there's an idea. Yes of course at buyers expense I suppose. Or maybe half, anything is possible. A meet half way?

Bugedd, send me an email jlaird237@cox.net so I can give you an address for photos.

No doubt one of the finest Bugeye's you will find and knowing the quality of the car, the shipping would be worth the peace of mind.

Jack
thanks for the reference photos And how you put it all back together.

Lovely Jim, I got it all right. Was not sure if I had, ie did it work. Thanks for that.

I really like the BAT auction format. Reasonable listing price for a format that is a true auction.

Remember they will take a large bite out of your final amount on Ebay.
On the other hand it should get picked up pretty quickly.
Anyone do the math on how much you get from a $20K car sale on Ebay? (clue: it's less than $20K)

eBay's fees have gotten exorbitant over the years (I've been buying/selling there since 1998), but it's not too expensive to sell a car. They do not charge the flat 10% final value fee on cars.....it's $125 ($50 if you sell a lot of cars) on that $20,000 car.

If you are a "low volume seller" your listing fee is zero and the final fee (if the car sells) is $60 if it sells under $2000 and $125 if it is more than $2000. I have sold a lot of cars over the years, so I am considered "high volume" and must pay a $50 fee to list a car. That sucks, but the good news is I pay no additional fee when the car sells.
