I've been a away for a little bit, MGB is running great so no need to check in and ask for help, plus just got home from our 2nd annual Camping Trip. Thought I would share some photos to (hopefully) make you smile.

Looks like a grand time! But you don't have to have MG problems to check in here! Now don't be a stranger no more!

Looks like my kinda fun. Gotta love Jr, High kids.....before the drama hits 'em....(all of mine are in MAJOR drama right now. Everything was fine just a few months ago.)

Props on the dutch oven action. I've got one, but haven't been brave enough yet. Is that pizza?

Yeah that's pizza! They made six of them---2 pepperoni, 2 cheese, 1 sausage, 1 hamburger. It was hysterical because in the beginning it just didn't look promising.
They really turned out great. Only a couple burned on the bottom..EASY!! 2 cans of crescent rolls, some pizza sauce, meat, cheese. They layered the crescent rolls on the bottom, added the sauce, meat, cheese and a 2nd layer of the crescent rolls. They put 8 or nine colas of charcoal on the bottom and 8 or nine coals on the top and let them sit....they were pretty good.

You are right there! :square:

terriphill, hats off to ya!, great to see kids doin somthin other en playin them computer games, its only 7:00 a.m. here but i feel like havin a pizza right now.

OH YEAH - Dutch oven! Camping trips were always incomplete without one.

My favorite is "dump cake": take a couple cake mixes, milk, egg, and fruit (usually fresh peaches); ~dump~ it all in the oven; stir it up only lightly (one or two spins of the spoon); cover and set it on the campfire, covering it with some of the burning wood.

Yummy!

And what we called breakfast tacos: flour tortillas stuffed with scrambled eggs, potatoes, onions, and sausage.

Or take yesterday's potato salad and fry it...

OK, now I'm hungry!

Oh, and good to hear from you, Terri!

It ain't "camping" unless ya go out an' bag food from the environs.
Canned supplies just makes it an "outside kitchen" IMO. :smirk: :jester:

...I'll make exception for Smores, tho...

You don't mean (gasp!) - no color tv,no motorhomes,
no generators,no cell phones,no.....?

I normally turn the Dutch oven upside down and cook the pizza on the lid. This makes it much easier to get out. Some oven are made to do this and others need a stand to hold then steady.
