Not a cloud in the sky and it was 70s. We drove over to the Cherokee reservation which is about 50 miles and then into the great smoky mountains national park and on to Clingman's dome. Its a 7 mile super curvy drive up to the dome from 441 and there was ice still hanging on the rocks but it was still not too cold. Just a good 150 mile top down ride. It was a nice get away. I think the bride took some pictures. I will try and get them on here soon. Fun day and it was worth the 4 gallons of gas even at 3.50 a gallon.

Sounds like fun. Glad your still around. Hadn't heard from you in awhile.

yes it ws a great day got mine out today too for the first time this year :yesnod:

Oh, yeah still around. Not a lot of time for BCF but I still read it on occasion. Looking forward to the midget gathering at road america. I got my hotel reservations. Can't wait to see what everybody has done eith their spridgets since last time. Mine is not much different, except it doesn't overheat any more, which is a big plus.

It was a beautiful day. I went for a small ride as well. Thinking I might drive it to work tomorrow.

Bugsy almost got out tonight for a run to grocery store. Two tires that were quickly going flat on me had valve stems replaced on Saturday. Got horn to work and wiring harnes re zip tied together after horn work. After almost getting run over two wweeks ago by an SUV Bugsy had not gone for a romp until I got the horn fixed. Plus it's been in low 30's for last two weeks. All set to crank him over and chug, chuuuug, chuuuuuuug, and done. Back to the battery charger. And no joy to get a quyick run in. 9:50 and 70 degrees here in Dayton tonighjt. Flods, pestilence, tornadoes, and all manners of natural destruction promised for tomorrow. Oh well, all of the winters major projects are fixed. Now to see if this battery holds a charge or if I'm going to need a new one.

Glad some of you have been able to get out. I took my MGB out for a short (10 mile) run today. Weather here (NJ) is great. Saw a Porsche 356 1600 Super (convertible, top down....looks like a Speedster). Lots of bikes too.

I had the 67 Sprite out today, Janis Joplin in the 8 track player running here and there, and after dinner the wife and I went for ice cream in the Sprite.
But she popped in Crosby, Stills, Nash, & Young in the ole 8 track player.

Very nice, thanks for the pics and videos. Makes me think that warmer weather and nice drives will be here soon.

What would happen is a Midget hit an Elk at 50 mph? That is an Elk right?

Not a pretty thought. I'd definitely take my chances with the ditch.

Good to hear from you, Kim! If you're available in May, come on over to Townsend for either the local British car show or the MG V8/V6 gathering.

Here there's still some snow and just a few degrees over freezing, but hey good for you!!

The forth picture really make me amazingly jealous, though.

Good to hear from ya Kim! We'll have to do some twisty
roads this spring again!

do you have a link to when that is? Townsend was near gatlinburg right?

Yep - Springtime in the Smokies is May 13-14, and the V8 show starts Sunday, the 15th, and runs through Wednesday, the 18th.

Townsend is about an hour's drive through the park from Gatlinburg.

Ah, just checked it on google maps. From here at the house I can take a route that is about 100 miles and takes a log of the parkway to Townsend. Looks to be about a 3 hour drive that way but maybe less. I need to check with the "boss" and see what we have planned for that time.
