Something you never want to see in your rear-view mirror -

Been there, done that. I was driving my 63 Plymouth Valiant to an appointment at the Naval Station on Treasure Island in the middle of San Francisco Bay. I was leaving Treasure Island to get on the westbound Bay Bridge. It's a short on-ramp. I looked back, saw all was clear and floored it. A few seconds later I hear a loud air horn and saw nothing but chrome in the rear view mirror. I promptly wen out and bought a 70 Duster 340.

Try merging on a freeway or expressway with a right hand drive Austin A35 van with the original tiny mirrors! Beyond scary for everyone…
