BE Wiring Harness

I assume that Lucar conntectors are used to hook the main harness to the front and rear sections, and better yet remove the Lucar butt conntections and replace with a solder on bullet type connection and cover with shrink wrap?

Has anyone seen braided black wrap with blue stripe that I can use to cover my hopefully handy work?

If you're going to solder them, slide back the rubber sleeve on the Lucar female connectors, slip onto one wire.
Solder the connectors together....bullets and all.
Slide the sleeve back over it.
We do that on replacement harnesses on old Fords.
Same basic design, and the old ones lasted, without failure, generally over 60 years, but the new garbage is so wimpy you can't get reliable opeation. That fixes it.
