BE Screen Washer Pump mounting

According to the parts manual, the washer pump is mounted with two nuts and a lock washer.

I have everything but the original nuts - and the only 5/8" fine threaded (24) nuts I've been able to find are too thick for this application. The originals appear to be thin (we used to call them machine-nuts). Does anyone know the specs for these nuts or whether nuts with the same specs are used elsewhere on the car - preferably ones that are available from the usual suspects? (my local lowes and home depot failed me).

BTW - Never mind the circle around the mounting cups in the image below - I'm interested in the nuts.

Thanks!

I thought the nuts were 3/8 x 24.
And yes, "Stop Nuts" is the correct term, thin nuts.
check a real hardware store, they should have them.

If they don't, make some.
Get a couple of fat ones, and use a hacksaw in a vise, file smooth, run a bolt through from the "good" side to sort out the mangle.

They are 3/8-26,
Just measured a couple of units for both the od size and pitch.
Bill, do you plan on being at the ABFM in Portland next week?

You're right - 3/8". Sorry - that will teach me not to proof read.

Think I'll try that - I've got a fresh hacksaw blade just waiting to be broken in!

Sadly, I won't be in Portland :-( Got a house to paint. My wife told me so.
