What a bastard to get them out when the bolts don't undo. Ended up drilling them out by 1/2" & pulling out the bottom 3 leaves.
Is there any technique for removing the bracket? (the three bolts). As there are a few (I counted 10) patches around.

I've a fibreglass back end, presently removed.
Here's the pictures so far: my frogeye/be

Do you mean the radius arm bracket?

Yes Trevor, photo's added.
Nasty isn't it.

No trick to removing those bolts that I know of. And yes... it is almost as nasty as the underside of the Ugly Bug.

Oh wait... I see you have some added material that creates a challenge. Time for the angle grinder and cutoff wheel?

yes "added material" held there with a mixture of rivets, and lumps of steel that is supposed to be welds.

Well, radius brackets came off with heat, plus gas (UK equivalent of PB blaster) Shocking it (BFH & chisel).
Angle grinder & LFH later this was what's underneath.

I've ordered some closing plates, but not entirely sure what it's supposed to look like under here.
Has anyone photos of this area?

The story so far.... My frogeye.

holey cow! Thanks for the link above Bill. Looks likes Peters replaced or repaired every panel. That makes me feel much better about mine.

What's the consensus regarding new springs? Is their a preferred supplier? Additionally, has anyone ever had success re-arching the original set?

Thanks,
Mike
