Took the original Eversure mirror glass out to be re-silvered but later I unfortunately knocked it off the work bench. Now in pieces it no longer needs re-silvering. I seem to remember a thread where someone had cut their own replacement mirror glass. Was that on this forum? If so, where? Looking for a source for the mirror and the technique used to cut it. Tough to find 1/16" mirrored glass.

Is a special tool to cut circles. Not hard any glass shop can do.

Someone on this or another forum had posted photos of cutting the glass themselves. My primary issue is finding 1/16-inch mirror glass. My first two tries at local glass shops were unsuccessful.

I to had good intensions to have the mirror redone I also broke it. Mavbe that why its so hard to find 1/16th?
Anyway I bought a really ugly gold backed thing from V british to pass Inspection here in Texas.I just hated looking at it sitting there in all it glitzy gold flake paint. One nite I took a dremel and buzzed through the rivet holding the backing on and pulled out the mirror and stuck it in my Eversure Bezel It fits! a some gap at the bottom but hey it better the the bling thing!

I cut my own replacement mirror glass.
Pick up a really cheap mirror that hangs on a door or has a cheap plastic frame around it. Wal*Mart special.
They use 1/16 mirror. I cut it square with a regular glass cutter and use a belt sander to round the edges. (slowly sand it)
It may take a couple of trys but with a $5 mirror you get lots of trys and you learn a new trade /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
