BE hood and frame stowage

So it is getting down to the short list for my 1960 BE. I would like to be able to stow the soft hood (top)as done on the original model. MacGregor has the two straps which hold the rolled up hood to the frame. He does not have the single, smaller strap to hold the frame to the underside of the boot (cave). Does any one know of a source? Has anyone actually tried to stow the hood this way? Does it work? Or is it best just to throw it in the back?
Cheers,
Scott in CA.
This is a picture out of the Horler book.

Of course I always have a source. Try the pet store for an appropiate color and size.

Scott,
Have you spoken to Hank Leach about this? I think he had some made up per a original piece.

Do you have contact info for Hank? I'd be interested in getting ahold of him regarding those straps. My car came with an olive drab cloth strap (which I lost)that's the same material the spare tire hold down strap is made of. I'm guessing it was original but I'm not sure.
Thanks
Mark

Hi Mark,
I got Hank's contact information from Dug. I emailed him, but have not yet heard back. Once I do, I will let him know that others are interested too.
Cheers,
Scott
