As you're painfully aware,I sold the panel truck on eBay.
They buyer contacted me,& told me he's North of the LA area,
& was planning on coming up to pick it up,& that we'd work out
the details.
There's an exhaust leak that I made the mistake of saying that I'd take care of in the auction.
Took it to two different muffler shops for an estimate,
plus talked to a third (my first choice)who told me that the
whole exhaust system should be replaced (around $300,from - all three shops.
The buyer called this afternoon,& told me that he'd be here Sunday afternoon. Most of the shops are closed on weekends, but one shop told me that he could do a patch job
on it ($90),so it could be safely driven.
I thought that I had plenty of time to take care of things, but it's all coming together at once. What would you do?
This will bring us down to 10 vehicles.
I also got a call from the buyer of the Green 1994 Dodge Dakota. He's been waiting to sell his big Ford van,& then
had problems smogging it.He gave me $200 deposit.
I thought that this was great,as I could get all of the things done that will be tied up the truck (Red '95 - Dakota),& I'd have a backup vehicle to drive.I have appointments to get things done this coming week.
He told that he's ready to buy it,& wants to go take
it to LA.I think that he'll work with me.
This will bring us down to 9 vehicles.
I forgot to mention that the '94 Dakota has a problem
with the seat belt - it won't release.I can still use it,as
long as I hold the belt in place with a clothespin, clib in
under the belt,& release it.What a pain!
The problem is that this seat arrangement 70/30 bench,
seems to be rare,as the driver's belt receiver,& the center
lap belt are joined at the base. This is on the Club Cab models-
extended cab only.
If anyone could help me locate one (the receiver/lap-
belt mount),please let me know.
