As you're painfully aware,I sold the panel truck on eBay.
They buyer contacted me,& told me he's North of the LA area,
& was planning on coming up to pick it up,& that we'd work out
the details.
There's an exhaust leak that I made the mistake of saying that I'd take care of in the auction.
Took it to two different muffler shops for an estimate,
plus talked to a third (my first choice)who told me that the
whole exhaust system should be replaced (around $300,from - all three shops.
The buyer called this afternoon,& told me that he'd be here Sunday afternoon. Most of the shops are closed on weekends, but one shop told me that he could do a patch job
on it ($90),so it could be safely driven.
I thought that I had plenty of time to take care of things, but it's all coming together at once. What would you do?
This will bring us down to 10 vehicles.

I also got a call from the buyer of the Green 1994 Dodge Dakota. He's been waiting to sell his big Ford van,& then
had problems smogging it.He gave me $200 deposit.
I thought that this was great,as I could get all of the things done that will be tied up the truck (Red '95 - Dakota),& I'd have a backup vehicle to drive.I have appointments to get things done this coming week.
He told that he's ready to buy it,& wants to go take
it to LA.I think that he'll work with me.
This will bring us down to 9 vehicles.

I forgot to mention that the '94 Dakota has a problem
with the seat belt - it won't release.I can still use it,as
long as I hold the belt in place with a clothespin, clib in
under the belt,& release it.What a pain!
The problem is that this seat arrangement 70/30 bench,
seems to be rare,as the driver's belt receiver,& the center
lap belt are joined at the base. This is on the Club Cab models-
extended cab only.
If anyone could help me locate one (the receiver/lap-
belt mount),please let me know.

Life is what happens while you're busy making other plans -- John Lennon.

Looks as if you will have to patch the exhaust. As to the belt problem... If you cannot find new receiving ends then swap the center belt receiver with the drivers belt receiver and leave the drivers belt receiver under the seat. You may wish to tape it shut, or label it defective, so no one uses it and gets stuck.

Heart break. Well it was a shot in the dark, too bad that dog won't hunt. The best laid plans oft go awry, life is oft lived in the awry part.
