She doesn't care what I do with the garage, she does what she wants with the house.
That is a GREAT toy garage!!

I consider it very clever. It works, she gets something and you get winter storage for the Bugeye. Everybody wins. :thumbsup:

Did you build the garage? I never considered the fact that a bugeye could fit in 100 square feet. We have a 100 square foot limit too if you don't want to have to go through the building permit process. So what are the dimensions of your garage? As far as wife problems - never had any. I made it her car. We always seem to be short on cash on the other cars, but for some reason we always have money for her car. I still get to drive it...as long as I take her on a date.

My wife has the house and the garage and it is Her Sprite. I just smile and consider myself fortunate :smile:
 
I did build it, down to the window boxes. It is 8' x 12'-8" outside. My manual says the car is 11'-5 1/4" long, bumper to bumper. I actually omitted the framing at the lower back end to gain 3 1/2" and so I could add a bustle if I needed it, but the car just fits with the front bumper on. The doors provide a couple more inches.

The single door in front was to provide space to swing the drivers door open, but I needn't have worried- these cars are small!

In my locale I needed to submit a sketch for site plan approval- just a formality. I don't recall an inspection.

It was a fun project compared to home additions, etc. Of course the step ladder kicked out and and I fell and severed my achilles tendon, but I need to save that for another forum...

I tend to use my wife to excuse my own excesses. She's really not to blame. I think that we are all lucky that way.

Truth is, for the last 5 years I have been caring for my Mom who is house-bound, she would be in a Rest Home if we did not live together. Although taking care of my Mom is a big responsibility and takes a lot of time, it gives me a big positive feeling.

I will be able to schedule some shows this summer, but mostly close to home unless I can get someone to stay with Mom. I don't know about the Conclave this year.
 
I am so impressed. What do you plan to do when it grows up??
