BCF member Frank (Angelfj) and wife Pat just called us
to inform of their safe arrival from Philadelphia, PA
to San Juan international airport. The Ratco cable carb
assembly for Amos arrived with them!! Photo of our weather
today for your viewing pleasure.

After a taxi ride to the Old City, rest up and then we
will all four meet for jolly BCF dinner at Il Bacaro
restaurant. After that a visual delight of the Old City
Christams lights and decorations.

More photos to follow of Frank and Pat's BCF venture here
in the tropics: Hint- Wendy is hosting a small dinner party
Friday night.

Hey, guys - have a Cuba Libre for me! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

Bring on the food and libations! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thirsty.gif

I'll take a Mojito! D'ya think a doggy bag from Il Bacaro would make it through the mail? DURN!
I really think that place should have some kind of official BCF standing.
I believe it has been adopted as the official gathering point of "team Crypty/Amos" hasen't it?
I got the makins for Cuba Libres.... nah not tonight. I got work in the morning.

Yupper Banjo- another fine dining experience at
Il Bacaro by BCF members. Franks and Pat got stuffed
with pasta and fresh salmon. A bottle of good red Merlot
somehow disappeared as did numerous cups of strong,
mountain grown expresso con leche.

After dinner, a plesant walking tour of the Christmas lights.

I think your grin is wider than Brosky's when he got his car back together.
The weather here has been a bit weird. December started with the coldest start to summer on record, and it is finishing off hottest day on record. Yesterday was over 44C. I don't know what that is in F, maybe just f%$&&^* HOT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.
Regards
Craig

Craig, that's TOO hot for me.

Our weather for December has also been odd.
Extreme high winds and much rain and hotter
than normal.. 14 feet high surf waves yesterday.

regards,

d

Looks like fun - can't wait 'til it's our turn!

Very cool! Seems like PR is becomeing the official BCF meeting place /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif

Mickey/Basil!

Il Bacaro is a well hidden little gem of a restaurant.
Tourists don't know it exists and most taxi drivers
don't either. It really DOES resemble many of the tiny
restaurants in Venice, Italy. The young owner was born
in Venice with one parent from Puerto Rico.

It could well become the official Caribbean dining
experience for BCF members who visit the island!!

And yes, we will go to Il Bacaro again and again.
They know to bring Wendy's Merlot and my cafe con leche
without being asked.

BCF meeting Puerto Rico chapter update:

Frank and Pat took the scenic harbour ferry from the
Old City to Catano where Dale and Wendy picked them
up for some local sight seeing including Isla de Cabras
the once leprosy resort and home of Tres Gatos the fishing machine.

Then down the road to the Bacardi distillery for a tour
and free libations. The DDriver Dale took the three sots
back home to meet Amos. Dale and Frank hopped in Amos for
a beach run to our biker bar for local grub while the
womenfolk took the elegantly apponted Mrs. Jeep in advance.

Frank driving Amos was grin after grin for both guys.

Nope, your hateful winter weather has gotten us AGAIN.

A friend from New York was due to arrive tonight at
midnight. Now that late hour is a curse all by itself.

But NOOOOOOOOOOO, it gets worse. Some yet another awful
snow storm somewhere out west has caused a two hour delay
in New York. Now I have to get him at 2:15 AM (maybe) and
not get to bed until around 4:00 AM.

I get up every day at 5:00 AM.

Blasted winter weather!!

But Dale, you don't have to chop a hole in the ice to go Tuna fishing, do you?
That picture was taken a week ago. Today we only got a dusting of snow, with the temps in the high 30's.
Maybe I should start checking on a flight to San Juan.

Why do rational people live in Nanook places
like Wis. ??

Oh, did I say rational? My bad. sorry.

d

So who ever said we were rational, Dale?
