BCF on Barrett Jackson Auction

I'm sitting here watching BJ Auction live from Vegas and a '63 AH300 is on the block. A question about VIN # location is asked of the reporter on the floor. He points to the firewall location and said that questions like that are routinely answered online in the British Car Forum and at the AH site. Pretty cool BTW.... 2 AH3000's went for $58K and $63K and they weren't even frame offs!

"BCF" on "Barrett-Jackson"!!!!!!!!!

Hi Basil & All,

I`m watching the "Barrett-Jackson" Auction from Vegas.

There have been a couple of Healeys sold (For a relatively Low Figure compared to last yr).

There was an email sent in by a spectator asking where he can find a VIN plate on a Healey?

The commentator on the block (I forget his name) but he`s a Brit Car Lover & mentioned that he would be able to find the answer on "www.britishcarforum.net" and one other Healey site.

Basil; You are already International; Now everyone in the Universe must know about the "BCF".

Sit back, relax & wait for the vendors to come to you.

Regards.

Russ

Re: "BCF" on "Barrett-Jackson"!!!!!!!!!

I believe that LBC lover/owner is Bob Varsha. I remember him talking about them during past B-J events.

Re: "BCF" on "Barrett-Jackson"!!!!!!!!!

Let's just hope they figured out it's britishcarforum.com, and not " .net"!

Bas - you made the big time!

It must be true because I just approved a new member and in the "How Did You Find Us" part of the registration they said "mentioned on Barrett Jackson"!!!

WOOHOO!!!

Bas:

That is amazing, 10,000 will just be a stepping stone.

Re: "BCF" on "Barrett-Jackson"!!!!!!!!!

It wasn't Bob Varsha, but Mike Joy who is the AH expert. Bob is also the Formula 1 announcer and Mike is 'the voice of Nascar'.

Re: "BCF" on "Barrett-Jackson"!!!!!!!!!

Now you can add the tag line "As mentioned on TV!" or "As talked about on Barrett-Jackson Auctions" to the home page!!

Re: "BCF" on "Barrett-Jackson"!!!!!!!!!

We hit the big time. You are the man Bas.

Re: "BCF" on "Barrett-Jackson"!!!!!!!!!

Hi Nutmeg,

When he (Mike Joy) mentioned the BCF as ".net"; I felt like emailing "Speed.com" but did`nt.

Seems like from previous BJ Auctions; Mike Joy has a love for Healeys.

I`m sure the gen. public would know what he was talking about.

 Way to go!

When you type "britishcarforum.net" into the search machine, it takes you here...well, it at least gives you this address.

Hmmmmm.....since I made my post Sunday night, somebody has built a "BritishMotorForum.net" shell in Beta format that you get directed to when you try to go to "BritishCarForum.net"! & it looks a lot like the BCF!

Hap - can you get in touch with Mike Joy & get him to make a correction on the auction next time he's at the mic?

Basil - You need to BUY "BritishCarForum.net" if its available & redirect all inquiries to the BCF!

Yes I know it and I am NOT happy about it. I feel like they are trying to capitalize on when we have taken 8 years to build. It's a free country I guess and they can do what they want to do, but I would not do that with someone elses forum name... I'm just saying.
