I've got a 1975 TR6 and a 1976 Spitfire 1500, and one old battery between them...time to power up!
All the literature I can find recommends a BCI Group Size 24 for both cars. Bought a 24 today and stuffed it in the Spitfire - it's a tight fit. Something an inch or so shorter might make me feel better about the bonnet clearance, and with reversed terminals I could attach the wires on the rear of the battery where they would be out of the way. I put a piece of 1" Styrofoam on top of the terminal/disconnect and closed the bonnet, it crushed about 1/4" when I forced it down, so I have about 3/4" clearance. That ~should~ be enough, but I hate to dent the rust in my beautiful rat rod...
I'm curious what you chaps with similar cars have in the way of batteries...searched the Forums with no useful results.
Thanks!
