NEED HELP ON HOW TO CHARGE THE BATTERIES ON MY 1974 MGB-GT. DO I CONNECT THE POSITIVE CABLE TO THE POSITIVE TERMINAL ON THE PASSENGER SIDE BATTERY AND THE NEGATIVE CABLE TO THE NEGATIVE CABLE ON THE DRIVER SIDE BATTERY? IT'S BEEN A VERY LONG TIME SINE I'VE NEEDED TO DO THIS AND WILL APPRECIATE ANY HELP. THANKS , GUYS.
 
That would work, but to avoid screw ups, It is best to connect the positive to the positive on the passenger side battery and the negative to a ground.

BTW, ALL CAPS drastically reduces readability and is also considered bad internet form.
 
Unless you are a stickler for originality, I suggest making the change (when needed) to a single 12v battery (size Group 26) placed into the passenger (right side) of the battery boxes. You can then get a bin to place in the left hand side box to create additional storage.

Actually, it's consider'd <span style="color: #FF0000"><span style="font-weight: bold">~SCREAMING~</span></span>...

Disconnect the ground to the chassis and connect the positive to one battery, the negative to the other.
