Putting the wiring in my chassis on my 62 BT-7. Does anyone have a pic of the pos cable going through boot wall ? Thanks !

If I remember correctly, the positive cable, in a negative ground car, initially passes through the near wall enclosing the gas filler pipe. From there it passes through the filler pipe enclosure and exits through the main boot bulkhead at the rear of the filler enclosure. From the boot bulkhead, the cable passes around the body at the top of the rear wheel differential area and down to the right side under the floor. Moving forward, it follows near the fuel pipe and terminates on the right side of the starter relay.

Hope that helps,
Ray (64BJ8P1)

Ray , There are 2 holes on the wall in the filler pipe enclosure, I don't have a pic of which one it passed through. thanks !

Bob,

As far as I recollect, there is only 1 hole in the filler enclosure wall closest to the battery and one on the bulkhead at the back. The cable passes through both when traveling from the battery to the differential/wheel space. An additional hole, closer to the center of the bulkhead, is for the gas line.

If you have 2 holes on the filler space wall nearest the battery, then I suggest the additional was installed by a previous owner. Again, it is from memory that I am talking and was under the impression the BT7 was similar (if not exactly the same) as my P1.
