I just saw your "never try to teach a pig to sing" quote on one of your posts! Both of the quotes at the bottom of my posts are Heinlein, too. For anyone who is not familiar with him, looking up Robert A Heinlein quotes on the net is well worthwhile. I still reread his books periodically.
 
Grew up reading Father Heinlein.
 
Yep, I was hooked from an early age. They sure helped form much of the way I look at life to this day.
 
I like most of the old timers sayings, such as,

Good judgment comes from experience and a lotta that comes from bad judgment!

Live simply, Love generously, Care deeply, Speak kindly and leave the rest to God!
