Barrett Jackson

Looks nice, not an original color but in watching the Barret-Jackson Auction this A.M. on Tivo this one went for $16k. They did not show the auction on htis one just the price scrolling across the bottom of the screen.

For $16K I'd expect the bonnet to fit a little better! Also, those off-brand raised-white letter tires just don't do it for me.

So how much longer do I have to wait for my Mk4 sprite to be worth 15 to 20k?

don't wait, because our 61 mk2 has 30k plus tied up into it, still have to do the rear suspension i.e. heavy axles etc. came with 1380 huffaker, a 5 speed, front disc conversion, and it was purchased for exactly 25% of the investment... just have fun with it because every one wants bugeyes and the box sprite are for racing...its a proven fact...enjoy it and don't get too upside down with your "investment"

I just took a real hard look at that car, wow, someone paid 17K. Miss Agatha has got to be worth 20. So much stuff on that car is just wrong. But then I bet it drives well, someone is going to have lots of fun indeed.

Whats wrong with white letter tires? I like them. I bought the white letter firehawks because they have a nice square edge similar to the original look that the bias ply tires had. I hate to see round edged radial tires on cars from the 60s and 70s.
