Sorry, Sammy B., but the Mustangs as a group far outperformed the Corvettes in average price, at least on the TV broadcasts, at the 2005 B-J auction in Palm Beach. Except for a few, really exceptional 427CI-435HP cars, Corvette prices seemed almost reasonable compared to Scottsdale. However, even I admit that $500,000 Mustang (Shelby GT500 clone) went for an absurd sum.

A question: who is going to go out of their way to visit a car museum to see a $1.5 million '54 Buick, no matter who owned it? I mean, it wasn't even a '53 Olds concept car! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

I'd still take a Vette over ANY Mustang regardless of price.....

MOPAR products didn't seem to far well either, especially that early Charger. Overall the Mustangs just seemed to be better individual examples that the Covettes - in fact on one of the Vettes the commentators remarked about its being a nice everyday driver shined up to sell.
