Last Friday I pulled a GT6 70 out of a barn lean too and it had been covered in a tarp for 12 years before being pulled into the barn. The wheels being locked up turned out to be stuck in gear, frozen caliber and read drum didn't solve it, after taking out the tunnel and the top of the tranny, I used a screwdriver and hammer to knock it out of gear. Then it rolled OK for getting it on the trailer.
The tarp has done the damage, rust thru from the inside on most panels. Not good.

The gear shifter was broken all to ****, so that's why it wouldn't work, got a new one today. I rebuilt a clutch master and slave I had laying around and will try to get the car to move. The body is not worth doing.
Now the engine, it's a early KD with no emissions except a PCV, no lines to the carbs. It is the wrong engine for this model, but now the good news. Lots of work to ensure no damage to start up, runs as smooth as you have ever heard and has 75 Pounds of oil pressure at idle. Found some interesting things and will deal with them at a later time. Funny things. The starter didn't work, so taking it off was a real treat, 14MM heads with 9/16 fine thread forced on. After getting it out the rats nest filled the bell housing. Vacuumed it out and the starter shaft was so full of rat pee, no wonder the bendix didn't move. A good cleaning has put it in working order, not great, but?
The distributor has no 1 at the very bottom at TDC, plugs closed up with oil, carbs had tabs on the diaphragm not in place under the dome. Pistons stuck and all the usual suspects.
I just got done with a Spit6 and looks like I will be doing another one, unless I can get someone to buy it, the wife really keeps looking lovingly at it. She had one for years.
I'm sure I have a lot of decisions to make.

Just trying to keep up with the Marvin's. LOL
Best part the wife likes it. I found a Spit body, but it was as bad as what I have. I've done some bad ones in the past, so maybe, it better not drive around the block well or I'm hooked.
