Well, inspired by Banjo's pictures, and due to the fact that I haven't had all the body panels on my car since Feb 2009, I decided to spend a few hours in the garage today and have some fun.

I am pretty happy with the fit on the Drivers side panels.Not very happy with the front passenger fender fit at the rear where it meets the door and the fender to bonnet gap is awful...I can see some more welding in my future.

Yea! lookin good!
Fortunately, with my choice of "rat-rod" theme, I can ignore all but gaps that cause rubbing. I'm only bothering with major dents as well. I uncovered some areas of previous repair, and have re filled those spots with all-metal filler.
Leaving it in primer allows me to go back later and finesse any spots that bother me. maybe someday I'll give it a coat of paint.
It made a big difference to me just to be able to see the body lines again.
I'm still toying with the idea of adding some big white roundels with a racing number just for effect.
I like the numbers still on your doors.

Bremer, they are manufactured by a company called M.A.G, made in the UK. I have not seen another set. I am going to polish them and repaint after I check to see if they are "balanceable".

It's odd PB, but it is a little motivating to see the panels back on the car. I kinda just sat on a chair with a cold beverage and looked at it for about a 1/2 hour after I put the windscreen on. Today I was supposed to be working on the 6 getting it ready for the TRials (checking fluids/tires etc)but I had more fun playing with the 3 today.

Are there no holes in the front apron for the TRIUMPH letters?

I spent a ridiculous amount of time trying to resolve fender to door gaps. Eventually I made some shims to go under the hinges. I see there are also shims available to go under the door latch on the B post, but I was OK there.

I see that chair in your garage. I barely have room in mine for a few bar stools, that generally are workbenches because I have too much **** piled on the work benches.

Looking good. I'll get back to mine soon enough.

When you put the body back together you get the idea that you are making progress even if it's only temporary. We all need to go there during these long restorations (been there myself). A few days work on that front fender and it will soon be history. Keep up the good work.

Time to take the 6 for a drive.

Hi Tex,

There are holes in the apron. I found them after the apron was soda blasted. When the car was being raced, they did not run the letters on the front (or the badge).

It usually takes me about a half hour before I get enough space to work on the car. I have three cars in the driveway and three in the garage....No, I am not complaining....
