Ball joint/tie rod ends

I see that my not-so-old suspension parts have rotted rubber seals. Is there a supplier or substitute part for TR6 that uses modern synthetic rubber?

yes, all the vendors offer modern urethane replacements.

DNK and 71tr, Thanks for your replies, I'll ask the supplier. I wasn't as specific as I could havce been, but the issue is the ball joint and tie rod ends have rubber boots that have split. They aren't very old, and it is dissapointing.

How old, and were the over filled?

those rubber covers never last all that long, imo. i think energy suspension makes urethane ball joint covers, not sure if they will fit. really all the covers do is keep the dirt out.

I suppose, my reference to "not old" is from my viewpoint,
which is more along geologic time! I suspect the ball joints and tie rod ends were new in 2000 or ?? I don't remember. Just not many miles, aND I'm sure not overfilled, the rubber just rotted to little bits. I did see where one catalog listed ball joint seals, so I may just try that. I
just didn't want rad dust contaminating the grease and doing harm. Thanks for the relies!

NAPA sells generic dust boots in various sizes. I've used them successfully in the past.
