BadBoy mowers

How did I miss this? Congratulations. May you have many happy years in your new abode!
Thanks Boss - been holding our breath for a couple of days. This is the third house we put an offer on but are absolutely delighted. The main house is from circa 1850 and is on the local historical register. We love that the Primary bedroom is on the main floor with a spacious ensuite so - lots of opportunity to age in place. We can't see the water but we do have deeded water access.

Put in an offer and the only condition was a house inspection. (1850 house!) We then found out that there had been a previous offer which couldn't be completed due to lack of financing. They had however had an inspection done. So, we contacted the inspector and yes he would sell us a used inspection for half price. He couldn't tell me what was in it as we didn't own the inspection yet, but, he could answer this question.

Is there anything I need to be concerned about in the inspection?

Answer: Yes.

Bumhats.

And then he said we needed to be there so he could walk us through the issues together. Well after a mostly sleepless night and a three hour trip we get there only to find that the 'concerns' were basically trees planted too close to the foundation and we can't use the wood fireplaces without inserts. Seriously!? That's it? I almost punched him in the head (figuratively of course  ) Oh and we found a leak in the line from the well - probably a $10 repair. So, all the conditions released and we are moving from here at the end of July and into there at the end of August.

As mentioned the main house is 1850 but the back half is quite new including the garage. Garage bizarrely enters into the primary bedroom - so when we fight I have an easy exit to sleep in the car. :D More to the point all is oversized for the hobby. It needs insulating but withour further ado...

The storage will be shared with the Christmas decorations and the like, but, there is room for a car in the middle section (where the mower is) and I can easily close that off - so, yay!!!!

will keep you posted

Ok, speaking of mowers, Mrs JP and I bought a house today.

Very excited, moving in at the end of the summer. Very excited but at 1.3 acres I will likely need a riding lawnmower. This makes me think that I have the opportunity to get a classic tractor rather than jumping to a ride on mower. I know literally noting about tractors so, is there such a thing as a small tractor that could have a mower deck and an snow blower?
Very nice, enjoy it.

When should we be there for the housewarming?

Before you finish the garage, be sure there are plenty of outlets and lights. Looks like quite a find. Enjoy!

Indeed. There is a separate panel in the garage so much exploring to do. Currently there are a number of single bulbs with pie plate reflectors. :rolleyes2: This will not do at all!

Jealousy is oozin' out from under my fingernails!

Make provision for a couple 220V drops? Or is Canadia already running on it?
