On Wednesday the wire to the fule pump shorted, that took a while to fing at the gas station, that night the rear muffler decide to drop. Just went out and the fuel punp has a small drip from the cap end. Any suggestions on the fuel pump?

Looks like a busy weekend. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

I don't have any suggestions, but looks like you're going to be busy this weekend! Hopefully repairs will be painless!

I thought I read you need an electric fuel pump that is rated at 18 GPM. This may help you get a less expensive pump at the local auto store.

Suitable pumps are readily available at any parts store, BUT, Be sure to mount them on some kind of rubber isolator or they are VERY loud.

YES, I agree. my 73 has one and my son thought he broke something because of the pump noise. I also died laughing when he turned on the ig.

yeah... definitely... mine sounded a lot like a wood pecker going nuts on the chassis of my 'B. I isolated it with a chunk of neoprene that I cut out of a mouse pad... barely noticeable anymore. It can get a little loud on initial power up sometimes, but quiets down quickly.
