so maybe i dont always read.
i dont know if this is related but my ignition light never comes on any more. is this an issue??
 
You mean running or NEVER... as in: turn the key to the iggy position (before cranking) and no light? If so, you need to find out what/why and fix it.
 
right never does the light come on. i think i heard you say something about this before doc. what bad omen is this indicative of?
 
This is what I used to test the light

Ground the yellow and brown wire at the alternator plug. If the light doesn't come on when the ignition is in the run position then you have a burned out bulb. If it comes on then your alternator is bad, and is not intergizing.

new alternator is in and charging so i would put money on the bulb. must have burned out from trying to tell me i needed an new alternator. tomorrow i will try grounding the wires thanks for all the help.
