...Well it was fun while it lasted, I think I only drove 3 or 4K miles. An SUV ran a stop sign, no way to avoid it.
The air bag gave me a pretty good punch in the ribs, a little sore but still here. Hate to think if it had been the Healey.

OW!!!
Glad you're all right. (I wonder who'll get stuck trying to restore that 30 years from now)

Too telling... "An SUV ran a stop sign,"

Glad it WASN'T th' Healey! You'd not be posting.

Advil and lots of water.

...and get a lawyer with attitde.

Yikes! Glad you are still with us. Amazing what modern vehicles can protect us from.

Wonder what they'll do with that engine & transmission?

Glad you can post a photo. And yes an attorney with attitude is what you need right now.

I'm curious. What kind of SUV and how did the driver manage to not see the stop sign? Texting, maybe? Husband got his SUV totalled, split his tongue, broke a few ribs and all because a young female, no license and no insurance, was going the wrong way on a divided highway. Seems she got 'confused.' Cost us a lot of $'s and had to sue our own insurance company to get medicals paid. Judge slapped her hands and when asked about having a license said yes she had one. Seems she got it about a month after the accident. When asked about the insurance said she didn't have any as she didn't have a car anymore. Torqued me. Go figure.

Hang in there.

We seem to have a quite a few SUVs on the prowl here in New Mexico. I'm glad when my C got involved it was with a street racing Jap. pile of crap. I won...it lost..maybe it was high on Saki?? When ever a SUV walks into my lawyers office after doing something stupid he refuses ti represent it....

Glad you're OK. Wow, looks like someone's head hit the windshield on the passenger side.
I thought the same thing but remembered a Mercedes I looked at aqfter a recent accident - nobody on the passenger side, window was cracked when the airbag deployed even though nobody was there.

OUCH!!!

Yer lucky to be alive!

They really need to ban cell phone use with
motor vehicle use. I see idiots on bikes talking
with one hand while trying to manage the bike
with the other hand at highway speeds.

fries me but good.

How about California. They banned hand usage calling on a cell phone while driving. But did not ban TEXTING..??? Legislators at work, Maahhhvelous...

I think people are jumping the gun here. No where was it said that a cell phone was being used during the accident.

Glad you're ok. Hopefully the clowns that own the SUV have lots of insurance. "This isn't legal advice" (I'm not an attorney) but get an attorney, file a lawsuit and serve them. That will rattle their cage no matter what.

... I dont know if he was on the phone or not, it was a big GMC, not sure if the details, as they whipped me off to emergency pretty fast.

No passenger, the air bag pannel broke the wind shield which was pretty scary. Not sure what would have happend to a passenger!!

PS, Many thanks for the concerns, its very nice to know!

Glad that you're OK...my condolences regarding the cat.

You should be able to get cell phone records for times/dates.....IF they were on the phone, that is documentation that you would like to have.
