Bad Bearing

Take your caps, make a bigger hole, weld a nut on it(seal weld all around). Use a small,short, bolt with either teflon tape or other sealer to seal it up. Then you can use a longer BOLT to get the cap off and it works. I like 1/4" fine thread hardened.

Hopefully you got a reasonable price from Napa - for anyone contemplating bearings, I've used RockAuto in the past and have been happy. I did a rough calc on prices for bearings and it was about $70 for the pair, full Timken, without the seals, and delivery costs still needed. Seemed like a pretty good deal, but would of course need further checking if anyone is going that way.
