BACs come to Olde Englande

Country flag

Big American Cars (BACs to coin an acronym) invade the UK. ...and there's a dealership near me, too!!!!

With Oil Prices at an unprecedented high and going ever upwards this is just what the UK motorists need. Hummers UK

Press coverage...

I think I'll restrain my urge to rush out and drop ÂŁ25K+ on one.

Where could I park it? On top of two... er, make that three SMART cars....

Not the most propitious moment for a export drive for this vehicle.

Chrysler sells a fair number of cars here. And I've even seen a few Chevy-badged cars that look nothing like any Chevies I ever saw in the US (apart from the odd Camaro and 'Vette). And an odd Caddy, or two .... but a Hummer? :wall:

I know you get Chrysler Mini-vans and Jeeps, I've seen 'em, and I think Chevrolet has stopped or are shrinking the Vauxhall badging and replacing it with the bow-tie. I saw last year they were using bow-tie badged cars instead of Vauxhall (even though they are the same car, just different badges) in the World Touring Car Championships.

Yeah, they've been selling those hummers here too. I just can't understand with the gas prices. And they're even given registration tax rebates for them, cause they're more than 3500 kg. Oh and they're only allowed to carry two people. Go figure!

As for those small bow tie cars. They're a Daewoo with a new name. Quite common here.

One World.

Welcome to it.

I'm told change is good... I don't believe it.
