First off, thanks everyone for your help with my lack of spark trouble. I finaly will have time today to put the dizzy back in and hpefuly fire her right up. One question, I was double checking the service manuals to make sure I don't make any stupid mistakes when I noticed something. When I removed the dizzy I also removed the mounting plate and hardware so I could clean them and repaint. When I removed them the clamping nut and bolt were in the up position, as I looked through the manual I noticed it looked like the clamp bolt is in the down position. Can someone tell me the position it should be, if it even matters. Thanks again and I hope to have a post real soon telling everyone how well she is running! If you can arrange it, the nut at the bottom with the "ears" on the block and the "rise" (offset) in the clamp facing up. makes the job of tightening it easier.

HTH.

The main thing is that you can get to the nut with a wrench - I like it in the "up" position...put it in both ways to see which you're most comfortable with.

"I like it in the "up" position..."

...I ain't TOUCHIN' that...

nope.

Aw, Doc, you know you want to - you like it that way also.....hehehehehe - just reread my post - hehehehe

You're incorrigible.
