I have not been on here in a while. I have been finally finishing with my outside house repairs for the "summer" and I can finally get back to the midget. I just put the wiring harness back in and I have a question. What hole do the wires for the fuel pump and fuel sending unit go through in the trunk(boot) to ge to the underside of the car? I should have snapped some photos of stuff like this but didn't. I want get the wires all routed right before I put the gas tank back on. Any help or even a pic would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that it is in the ut-most rear of the trunk, in the center facing down.

That is where my BE has it.

You mean back near the tail lights in the center? I went through the entire wiring harness and cleaned and repaired and re wrapped it. The fuel pump and sender wires are not that long. The come out of the harness on the passenger side right up near where the trunk hinge is. I have more than one hole because of the fuel vapor lines that go up to the little metal can that mounts in the trunk. I just need to know which wire/hose goes in what hole.

I my sons 1979 the vent line from the fuel tank comes through the trunk floor right next to the filler. The vent line to the front of the car goes through the trunk floor at the front right corner of the trunk next to the vinyl coated cardboard piece that separates the trunk from the passenger area. The wires to the gauge are outboard of the passanger side vertical trunk reinforcement towards of front of the area. Phil

The wiring for the sender is a separate small harness. The 79 has a mechanical fuel pump on the engine, and thus has no wire in the trunk for it. Phil
