It's been awhile since I last checked into the forum. Moved a little more than a year ago (Austin, TX) and parked the 58 Bugeye. Lot's of curvy hilly roads here! Now it's time to get back in the swing of things. Redoing the brakes and tuning her up. Just bought a new door hinge from Moss Motors today so I feeling like a British car owner again.

Giddy-up! Cleaning the oil off of the garage floor always makes me feel like a British car owner. Jim

Mike,

Welcome... 1st back to here...2nd to Austin.... don't know where you moved from, but I can tell you that my hometown is a good place to be.

I now know of another Sprite owner here in town. I have mentioned to Morris for a while that we need to have a 'gathering' soon. Since I hope to have some time of my own in the near future, maybe I can host a get together out at my place and we can swap lies and brag on our cars....

Good to hear there are some AH guys in town. We moved here from the DFW area. Not far but a very nice change for us. Wow, hilly roads and curves! It would be great to visit with some british car owners. I think I'll get the Sprite running on the road in a week or two.

Jim:

Definately get that feeling when cleaning up the oil! Mine started marking her spot on the garage floor the day I brought her home.

Let me know if there is a Sprite get together in the Austin area. My folks are near Luckenbach and I visit them pretty regularly from here in Dallas. My plan is to get a trailer to haul the Sprite to fun places to drive and avoid driving it on the Highway of Death (IH35)

TexasSprite.... I will post a proposal out on this forum if/when I can get things going. If the weatherman predicts one of those rare GREAT, clear, sunny weekend days with temps in the 70s during January, I may try to post something earlier in that week to see who might be interested....

Getting the little cars out during the winter hibernation is always fun!
