Rolled in about 6pm. left Baltimore at 8 am. Have never taken a New Year's cruise before and really really liked it. A little cool the first and last days as we made our way south but other than that.... It was great having both kids together for a holiday and they enjoyed it too. Last time we had the family together and away was probably 10 years ago. On the down side, I am almost certainly in the market for a car. The mazda made it there and back, but, the check engine light is permanently on due to a dead catalytic converter and I needed 4 litres of oil to get there and back (about 800 miles) and the oil light came on again as we got home so, 2 more litres tomorrow. Lots of blowby! which annoys me because there is now way it should have this much wear this soon. Ah well...

anyway, here is a pic from the cruise!

Looks like some happy cruisers. How much weight did you gain (presuming they stuffed you)?

Burnin' oil would explain the converter. What about an in-car ring job? We did that at Saturn all the time. One weekend and you're done.

Glad to see y'all had a good time.

Thanks for the pic too.

That must be Capt Stubing on the right?

No, that would be Captain Stubby. especially next to the 6'5" son. and for the record, I gained 4 lbs. needs to be gone by next week.

Don't listen to him JP... you could get arrested for that
Looks like you had a great time... nothing better than to spend time with your family. Glad you had a nice trip.

Glad you and the crew had a good time JP. Too bad about the 6. I took my A4 into Mineke for an oil change and they put a VW oil filter in instead of a high output Audi one. The oil light came on I would pull over, check the oil which was fine so took it to my mechanic(a vw specialist) and he spotted the problem as soon as he opened the hood, so now I get about 3500km/litre instead of the 8000 i was getting before. I should have sued them but no concrete proof.

I think this is already sold. Perfect you could clear the way for the Sprites

Cheers

Mark

I see it was a "black tie" affair JP.

Good looking group, even the guy on the right...
