Back from paint...sneak peek

Just got it back from paint today. I chose a 1968 Jag BRG. The drive train and some of the trim still needs to go back on, I need to paint the wheels the same color, put mirrors on...

I will post completed pics when I'm done, but I had to share a picture.

Ok, a couple more

Still going to decide if I'm going to use the bumperettes. I kind of like how clean it looks without.

The paint is super deep.

Looks good but you may want to have a look at the eyebrow over the grill . The right hand edge seems to need a bit more of fitting.---Keoke

Good eye Keoke.
Your photo looks like you have the eyebrow over the surround lip. The eyebrow leading edge should be under the surround lip. I've attached a couple photos for reference.

Healey Z, Beautiful BRG paint job!

Cheers,
Roger

Stunningly beautiful. Excellent choice.

Not sure what you intend about "painting the wheels the same color". I like the silver spokes; green might not be as sharp. Just my opinion.

That's my favorite BRG - a D Type color. The Healey BRG has too much yellow in it for my taste. Nice paint job.
Well done.
Randy

Thank you for the replies. I do have some final fitting to do. I think I will be going with a not too metallic silver on the wheels.

Randy, I agree, I love the color on the D and XKE.

Really, really nice! Bravo! British racing green dark. Years ago a buddy of mine from S.L.O. built up his 60 3000 with triple Webers, minilites, shortened windshield, rollbar etc. Painted it British racing green dark, took it down to Mexico :driving: and won his class in the Carrera! You were looking for vintage speed looks and have achieved just that. The wheels in dark might make it appear too sinister. I like your car.

Hey elrey. Cal Poly Grad here.

Here is a green race car that I really like. Note green wheels. I think what others have said on another post that race cars can pull off the colored wheels, but looks out of place on street cars.

Cal-Poly Grad! But please... don't paint em yellow!
