Hi everyone. I decided a few months ago that I was spending more time on the computer than I should, sooo unplugged the thing and just kept up with things from my phone. in doing so I got alot more done but also lost touch with people I considered friends. So this morning told t5he wife I was going to plug the thing back in and try to get things going. After paying our power bill for the place in Fl this is the first place I'm visiting.. Got a few customers cars out including the wrecked BGT of my pal Bill. It went home yesterday and he is thrilled. I eased my CGT forward yesterday and am pondering on driving it a bit, maybe. my A coupe is making headway, new floors and runs like a charm. a few more brake bits, a complete dry fit and test drive then later this fall the complete tear down and resto. now the bad news. By best pal Fred Tharp lost his many year battle with cancer and passed this summer. I was slated to be out of town but decided to stay by his side in hospital till he was ready to let go. I was selfish and wouldn't let go of his hand till the end but even though his family flew and drove in from all over they understood and we all shared Fred till the end. They cancer was gone but the treatment took a terrible toll. Then within days a young friend Lonnie Cross was dealt a blow. He had been going to the local hospital with stomach pains and was unable to eat or drink. For two months he was told it was a hernia and being he had no insurance(new job and wouldn't kick in for about 6 weeks) and no cash...they were unable to treat him. Told him to jump off a chair to the floor to pull the hernia down so he could eat and drink some?? Long story short...cancer. very advanced and aggressive. We got him to Lubbock were he was diagnosed in hours and is now in a cancer treatment center in San Antonio where his sister lives. I'm headed there soon to spend time with him. Sister has offered a room but will look for a motel, way to emotional a time. He has this sister and an older brother in New Mexico..and me.Please keep him in your prayers. I apologize....I ramble. been a long time folks, please forgive me. One last thing...and a rather large one. When you have time...please google Bugs4Christ and share in an incredible journey I was allowed to participate in. It has changed my life and that of my family. I will post it on here as a separate story.
