Had to back away from the internet..other than what was needed for bill paying and things like that. Mission trip, family reunion in NC..being sick and just being tired kept me busy. Have been chucking things from my shop and buying things to fix vehicles so they can be sold. Just finished a partial repaint on a 71BGT that had some sheetmetal damage to the lt front fender, trashed valance, hood and grill. Reassembly in progress. Pulled in a nice B roadster to part out, and put the A coupe and CGT into the bodyshop side for finishing and paint.

Glad to have you back! How was the trip? always wish I lived a little closer though getting near you shop when you are in a cleaning mode may get me into an acquiring mode. :D

Good to hear from you Jack. glad you got to go on your mission trip . Hey! while your chucking out stuff from your shop, how about sending a rebuild able 1600 dual port VW motor to N.Y. hehehehehe.. I'd happily pay shipping and some extra for handling! ~grin~

After the dust settles and everything is pretty much finished up...sold off..whatever, all the remaining stuff will be recycled. I've had people stop in and ask for free stuff all summer. These are the same people who live in expensive homes, have numerous new cars but won't spend a small amount for me to repair VWs they own or buy parts from me. I may invite them down the day I start loading Bugs and parts onto trailers on the way to be crunched. The MG stuff I really hope to sell..as I may keep one whatever it is I'll keep a few spares for that one...most likely the CGT.

I've been known to be a freedoader. Can't help but ask. I wish I could be there to see the looks on their faces. Can't say I blame you one bit. Hope you hang around a while. I'd love to see how some of your projects are coming. I've got to rebuild my poor type 3s engine this winter. it's tired. I'm doing some side work now to try and sock away enough for the parts.
