I finally completed the major tune-up (or should I say minor rebuild?) of my '60 Bugeye. The learning curve was admittedly rather steep for me given that this represented my first foray into the realm of Austin-Healeys but after five months it's nice to be back on the road. Special thanks to everyone on this forum that have allowed me to benefit from their knowledge.

And a very nice job indeed.

Lots of smiles per mile.

Very nice!!

Notice it is a 1958, few and far between they are.

He said it was a '60, but it has a 9 stud windscreen.

The car looks awsome. Mio, you have to help us resolve the issue, whats the deal with the windshield. It will drive Jack crazy.

Hey! you're right Ben. Good catch.

Yep, didn't look close enough.

Sure is polished up nicely.

Thanks, gentlemen, for your comments. I'm glad that the windshield trim stud issue was raised because I always wondered why it looked different than other Bugeyes that I had seen. I can't speak to when this modification was made to the car given that it was performed by the previous owner and I've had better luck extracting information from CIA agents.

You are correct in stating that the trim was polished. Indeed, I removed all of the aluminum components and polished them myself as shown in the before/after cockpit trim image presented below.

Nice work, that's a fine looking Bugeye.

BTW, are you submitting that pic for the calendar contest?

Hi Trevor,
Calendar contest? That's the first I have heard about it. I'll have to get back to you on that after I clean up the car. Ha!
