Hi All -
I joined the forum back in '05, when I acquired a '76 B in exchange for painting a garage. Seemed like a great deal. except for the fact that I lived in NYC at the time, so had nowhere to store or work on the car. It did start... once. After doing a little work on it when I could, which amounted to about twice a year, I moved out to Colorado, my B in tow. Finally, a garage in which to work!
And then life got in the way. Flash forward, here I am, finally putting work into the car. There was more accident damage than I had originally noticed - so I'm currently rebuilding the front suspension. Almost finished there! Also, restored the 4 rust-disks that were being passed off as wheels. If all goes well, it should roll withing a month! (It's been on jack stands for 5 years.)
Having been a New England car, there is plenty of rust I have to deal with - full replace of floor pans, replace passenger side rocker panel (and all that makes up that assembly), but I plan on making it a rolling restoration. You know, as soon as it rolls.
It's good to be back, and good to have my hands on the car again. And now that I am putting work on it again, I'm sure I will have a ton of newbie-esque questions.
