Been sick so haven't cranked this up in a while, in fact batteries in keyboard had died. Had to order checks and pay a few bills online so thought I'd check in. Have had alot of trouble with the A coupe so am shelving it till maybe next year...or maybe sell it whole or part it out. Was a dream...but not so much now. Going back to American iron, picked up a very nice 39 Ford 2 door sedan. Real boat and will be more functional and the family can help on it. Rust and pretty much dent free(thank God for the desert) so color scheme has been chosen before its even in the shop. GM Inferno Orange metallic with pearl. (son will do the honors). Geezer pal Pete(ret Army Airborne Col) get the interior. Leaning towards off white leather. Ford drivetrain..either a 302/C-4 out of a 67 Mustang or a Mercury Marauder 390/C-6 combo. Leaning towards the punier one. This will be for putting around town, car shows etc. Leving off the bling wheels and staying with the stock ones with the V-8 script on them..all on car and perfect. Only problem is being its kinda big...a few cars have to go. Either outside covered or sold. The 65 Mustang, A coupe and a couple of Bugs are the victims. Pics as I can. Never asked for help before, but things...and people..change.

You are an inspiration to the rest of us. For a guy with troubles to do the things you do, you should be real pleased with yourself. I believe you deserve some help at this juncture, let it happen. Best wishes and enjoy puttin that new rod together. Those 39's are real stylers, --elrey

Still wish I could get a bug from ya.hehehe

Consider the Explorer 5.0 w/ the GT40 heads. Cheap, powerful and plentiful.

I'm actually planning on funding this with a mountain of MG parts that are clogging my shop. Its stuff I'll never use but have been hanging onto forever. I was going to post on Craigslist but this isn't a hotbed of sports car owners here.Pick-ups and lowriders mostly. Sometime this week I'll try to post some pics

You did hear Bugs...lots of Bugs. being my shop is Jack's Bug Hut..lotsa Bugs. We also have Ghias, fastbacks, squarebacks....buildings and semi trailers full of parts. In the past few months we've donated over 100 VWs to the crush pile. Thats when you know you have too many VWs....and over the past 18 months more than 200 have gone away. Sad but have to make room.

Good to have you back in the fray, Jack.

Please keep us posted on your shenanigans and cars.

Cheers,

Where are the pics?
