March 25 to 28. Starts in NY and ends in New Orleans.

The "BABE Rally is the first "beater rally" in the US....and it's for a good cause (supporting New Orleans).

Here's some text from the website:
"Find yourself a roadworthy vehicle for less than $250 and join us in a fun run from New York to New Orleans. Quite simply - the worse the car is - the better.
This is a road trip with a difference. Instead of leaving New York expecting to have zero problems on the way to New Orleans over 4 days, you should be preparing for the worst. You're probably going to get it".

There will be special prizes for:
Worse Bucket of Bolts
Team to Hitchhike the Farthest
Team Who Suffered
The Most* Most Creative Repair Job

This fits well with the British Car Day in N.O. as well.

I believe there are already two spridget teams entered.

Where are the rumph's?

BTW
Spridgets Unlimited (AKA Team SU)
and
ODoody (AKA Organization of Spridget Handymen In Transit)

are the two spridget teams.

What a cool rallye! I like the idea! Reminds me of some of the car challenges on Top Gear!

Someone on classic motorsports forum said there was a female team driving a spitfire, but I can't tell from the team names. Anyone know them?

Well, I'll be in N'Awlins when they arrive....I will alreasy have supported them spiritually with a few "Hurricanes" of my own!
