There's a lovely old joke about the CIA coming up with a translation program. To test it, they fed in an English phrase, translated it into Russian, then translated that back to English. Since translations of idiomatic phrases are most difficult, they fed in "Out of sight, out of mind". The computer came back with "Invisible idiot". /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Hitchhikers Guide! There was a thread around a couple weeks ago about the top 50 Sci-Fi shows of all time... and the Guide was no where to be seen...

I've not seen the movie yet, and can barely remember the old BBC (?) programs I saw on public TV 25 or 30 years ago....
