MGB B Radiator Replacement, OE vs Aluminum?

Hey Guys

On to the next problem area in my 69 B restoration.

Turns out the original radiator that I had thought and hoped would be solid, has turned out to be full of holes (literally). I'm thinking of swapping out the OE for an aluminum one, for better cooling and more cost effective.

Questions:
1. What are your experiences with a radiator swap from original to aluminum? Any fitting issues? Size issues? etc.
2. Do you have recommendations for which one I should buy? Are the ones sold by Moss or Northwest Parts any better than the cheaper ones I find on eBay?

Thanks for your input.
Kevin

I put an aluminum radiator in my B many years ago. My recollection is that it went in smoothly, and I’ve had no issues with it since. I’d say go for it. I can’t remember which brand I used — I’ve got the receipt in my files but can’t easily get to them right now. If I get a chance I’ll try and look that up.
