'B' body stand

While looking on the net for Lindsay Porters book I ran across a site that had plans, material list and instructions on how to build a stand for the "B" so the body could be rotated to work on all sides. I did not bookmark the site and now I can not find it. Does anyone know anything about this type of thing? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazyeyes.gif

Thanks! This isn't the one but definitely what I am looking for. I want to be able to get to everything if I am going to take it down and back up. I was surprised by the simplicity built into the 'B' I am enjoying this quite a bit more than I anticipated. I already have the interior stripped, the steering column out the windscreen off, the dash out and the DS wing removed. there is the typical corrosion going on at the wheel arch that will be replaced. Nothing too serious! My biggest dilema is whether I put it back stock or make some modifications. I think the latter will manifest itself /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

I'm doing the same to a 70 &71 B roadster. Both will be modified somewhat. Miata seats, remove exterior body seams, etc. I love the look of the MGs. Great styling. Good luck. Post some pix of your efforts.

I have a memory stick full of pics, i will try to post a few later in the week. What's with the Miata seats? Good fit? Always looking for new ideas. Like a posi-track rear end? Always wanted an overdrive so I may have to go for the 5 speed conversion. so many things, so little money, says my wife! Ha! That is why you tell them you are going to do it months before you do it. It get's them in on the end result!

Miata seats are supposed to fit just right. I test fit them in my roadster project and they look really nice. Some modification is needed to bolt them to the pan but not too serious, so I've been told. Good luck on your project. I've got 4 in the process.

I'll have to check out the Miata seats! Four at one time? How do you keep the nuts and bolts straight? I have to ask, but did you start them all at once? I'm sure there is great story there! I'll check out those other sites. I certainly can't thank all of you enough for the input! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
