I'm not surprised. He's been lookin' rough the last few years. What a legend of music. I'm thankful he was with us so long, and still had the ability to tour and share his music. I never got to see him in concert either.
Never had a chance to hear him live, but have seen/heard many recordings over the years. There are times when I'll be on stage taking a solo and getting a bit too busy with my playing -- and I'll think "now, slow down and play it like BB." He could get more soul in a few notes then many players can get in a whole stream of licks.
