What a morning!

Hosted a diiner party last night and got up kinda tired.
Nice fresh morning so we jumped into Amos and headed over
to La Castilla panaderia for some breakfast.

We're cruising along at about 50 mph when this red rocket
comes from behind and falls in beside us. The folks honk
and wave as their Ferarri Enzo paces us for about a mile.
We are all four grinning and then the Enzo pulls back into
2nd and is gone in a flash.

eat, eat, eat.............

On the way home at lot of waves and horn honks. We are
first in line at a stop light, staring straight ahead at
a well restored, red MG midget. He blinks his lights and
beeps his horn. A big wave as we make the left turn in
front of him.

Amos is ever so much fun to drive.

felicidades!

Dale,

That is as great a Christmas present story if ever I heard one.

Yep - kinda makes up for all the headaches!

Savor the moments.....you certainly have a right to enjoy them after all of your hard work.

Yep, I admit it, I love driving the TR but nothing makes me feel better than the occasional 'nice car' comment and camaraderie from other classic car drivers.

Seasons greetings y'all

Randy

Blink and wave are SOP here in NE, at least for British car owners. Corvette, Alfa, Fiat, all do the same, but Miata & Beemer owners are just not with it.

Or they have that elevated view over the nostrils. Not all, but most do.

Dale, thanks so much for posting that! Nothing like that feeling when you're driving your LBC!

And to all my fellow Triumph lovers and wrench monkeys, a very Merry Chistmas to you and your families!

Cheers to you all!! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/cheers.gif

Tinster: Happy to hear you're enjoying your ride.
You certainly do deserve it. So now it's my turn
in the tank....while your enjoying your car going,
I'm working on making mine go.
Gotta love these cars....and I do.

I love the smell of oil fumes in the morning!

In this time of generic cookie cutter boring tin and plastic cars, which are about as inspiring as a trailer park, there is nothing like the feel, sound, looks and smell of a British sports car in full roar.

Savour the moment!

Congratulations Tinster. This is why we drive these cars....
Regards
Craig
P.S. And a very merry Christmas.

In response to Brosky, us Miata owners in PA blink our barndoors all the time. At least we are "with it" in PA.

Dale,
That is fantastic. I'll bet you have already forgotten about all of the breakdowns after that! Really makes driving an old car worth while. Merry Christmas.
Nick
